About 14 hectares of olive groves located in the municipality of Campofilone, in one of the most fascinating and historically rich areas of Italy, are the birthplace of Mondomini extra virgin olive oil. Here, balanced temperature variations between day and night and the typical clayey soil yield oils with great structure and exceptionally high phenolic content. The excellent extra virgin olive oil is exclusively obtained from precious varieties of Marche olives processed on the day of harvesting using the cold pressing method in modern continuous extraction lines. The result is an oil with very low acidity and incomparable organoleptic characteristics. Extra virgin olive oil is rich in vitamin E, which protects the body’s cells from oxidative damage. Replacing saturated fats with mono- and polyunsaturated fats found in extra virgin olive oil may help maintain normal LDL cholesterol levels in the blood. In addition, the polyphenols in extra virgin olive oil have antioxidant effects.
