Oil Tasting at Mondomini is a comprehensive and engaging journey to discover the fascinating world of extra virgin olive oil. It is not just an opportunity to appreciate extra virgin olive oil itself but also to explore how it can uniquely transform and enrich the culinary experience in a memorable way.

1. THE LIFE CYCLE

The journey begins with a visit to the olive groves of Mondomini through the different forms of cultivation, pruning methods, and along the various stages of olive tree growth. You will have the opportunity to closely explore the life cycle of olive trees, learning the importance of each stage for the production of high-quality organic extra virgin olive oil.

2. THE TASTING

Later, we will move to the tasting room to engage in the sensory exploration of extra virgin olive oil. Here, we will identify characteristic aromas, discern nuances of herbs, fruits, or other scents that define the aromatic profile of the oil, and perceive the various flavors—bitterness, spiciness, and fruity notes—to help you appreciate the complexity of extra virgin olive oil.
