On June 23, 2024, the picturesque town of Campofilone hosted the inauguration of the Territorial Interpretation Center dedicated to Oleotourism and part of the Aso Valley Ecomuseum. Located in a historic 18th-century mansion, Mondomini represents an ambitious project aimed at enhancing local olive growing and promoting the tourist experience related to the world of olive oil.

A Project for the Future of the Territory

The inauguration was attended by prominent figures such as Andrea Maria Antonini, the regional councilor for agriculture, who emphasized the importance of the new regional legislation aimed at promoting local olive oil excellence. “Mondomini is not just an interpretation center but a true crossroads for the discovery and enhancement of our agricultural and cultural heritage,” Antonini said during his inaugural speech.

A Place of History and Innovation

Mondomini, surrounded by 8,333 olive trees, aims to be a reference point for experiential tourism, offering visitors the chance to immerse themselves in the culture of olive oil and the agricultural tradition of the Marche region. In addition to representing an opportunity for tourists, the center aims to serve as an educational hub for schools and a training venue for industry professionals.

The mayor of Campofilone, Gabriele Cannella, expressed his enthusiasm for the project, highlighting how Mondomini represents a virtuous example of recovering and enhancing local heritage. “This center will be a driving force for the development of the entire Aso Valley, promoting our territory and our traditions beyond regional and national borders,” Cannella stated.
